recently i've decided that its more healthy for myself to be angry rather than depressed. If i am depressed, i tend to not let anything out, while when i am angry i can find ways to relieve it.

So, what are good ways to turn pain into anger?

What is this an Emo punk board?
Go cut yourself in your room like 1000 other nu metal fans that probably made the same thread on the linkin park board.

I close my arguement.

... theres a difference between just being emo all the time and actually having a reason to being depressed/angry

So. James. Please go die. Play in traffic. Get ass raped to death during a rhapsody concert. Just die.

LINKIN PARK LYRICS

"Crawling"

[Chorus:]
Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real

Take up an instrument like guitar (I forget if you already play one) and learn to play really fast. Sometimes when I'm really frustrated I'll plug into the Rig of Power and just shred like crazy until my hands get tired. It helps that I get a massive natural high from playing guitar, especially with great tone. But also the playing fast is good for getting out aggression.

I dont always agree with "anger" actually... while you may let things out "easily" when you're angry- does it really help?
At least when you're sad- your brain is working and slowly but surly the more you think about something, it gives you some closer faster.
Thats my opinion...

but matt's idea is great- take your guitar and let it all out on that!

Depends on your vices homz... there's a million ways... sex, drugs, food, metal... some agreeable, some not.

Personally, I'd hit the town with my boys and throw down a few drinks. Maybe write a tune or jam something along... if you're into cars you can tune one out or tear up some tarmac.

I dont really know man, I've never really gotten like overly sad about things. Sure, Im cynical, but only because of its logic. Negativity, on the other hand.. is kind of bullshit. I guess you could look at it by saying, you could be worse off. You could be homeless, mal-nourished, a drug addict, an amputee, diseased, or George Bush...

I guess there's a sunny day to combat every rainy one. Call it what you want, man, I just wouldnt dwell on any one thing vs the other when you could find yourself having better times instead of caring so much about the bad storm you're stuck in currently anyways.

Have at it man, good music, good friends, so tear some shit up, would ya?
