Lamentations DVD - The Drapery Falls

Mikael does it alot.. he gets into The Drapery Falls a bit too much :). If you think THAT'S a fuck-up though, check out the Inferno video, near the ending part when that riff comes back near the end of the song, ahaha...

Are you talking about that one note fuck up in the lead melody thing? Holy shit now THAT'S what you call being picky lol! It's not a huge fuck up at all, it's one note.
There are other little things that might be called fuck ups on the DVD as well (can't think of them right now), but it hardly ruins the rest of the song. I'd rather them play with emotion and make little mistakes than play robotically and have no feeling.

So he fucks up a single note?
Big deal.
He's standing there, playing live to hundreds of people, recording himself for a DVD with worldwide distribution, and he makes the 'biggest mistake on the DVD'? And it's a single note? Man, I would kill to play as good as Mikael can; and I think when we get to nitpicking the 'ruined' atmosphere of the song from that little mistake, we've gone a little too far.
Then again, maybe that's just me.
And c'mon, it adds to the atmosphere when Mikael plays it different and goes a little crazy on the vibrato. I'm not saying fuck ups = quality atmosphere, I'm just saying when he and the band really get into it, THAT is what separates live performance from recorded performance. And if the 'price' the listener has to pay is a single note fuckup, I will be at the head of the line.

has anyone read the interview with mikael that turns into a quite humorous discussion about "fuck-ups?" if you haven't, you should...it is really funny. i dont remember where it is though.

If its such a huge fuck up, why wasn't it fixed up in the studio, like you claim was done on another song on the DVD ?
They wanted to leave some of the mistakes in there, so you fanboys would believe that they didn't play the whole thing in the studio. Hell, maybe they even put that HUGE fuck up there themselves!?
