I don't know about anyone else, but I keep going back and listening to this album.

Pretty weak if y'ask me. It has a couple of songs that are pretty good but it's got nothing on Stormrider.

Completely disagree. That album is my favorite. Though it may be because I'm a Spawn fan...

It took me a while to appreciate The Dark Saga. Now it is one of my favorites. The only track I skip when listening to it is I Died For You. A lot of fans swear by the Something Wicked Trilogy, but I enjoy the Suffering Trilogy: Scarred, Slave to the Dark and a Question of Heaven just as much.

That's all well and good, but... where are the riffs, though?

All over the place. In every song.

I see your point. It doesn't have the riffs of Night of the Stormrider. It still has a lot of great songs. Iced Earth explore some really dark and evil concepts with the lyrics on this album.

It does have some good stuff. I liked the last song A Question of Heaven a lot and some others too. I guess I was expecting it to be something else. I'll listen to it again eventually and see how it goes.
