Oh how I forget how good this album is. Probably give it a near perfect score. Probably in my top 10 albums of all time. Probably the best black / death metal album ever (since all the greats (i.e. Dissection, Necrophobic etc. are all waaaaayy more black than death)) This album is the perfect balance between death and progressive / black... like Opeth. IF THEY HAD MASSIVE BALLS AND FUCKED BUSTY WOMEN ALL THE WAY DOWN THE LEFT HAND PATH.
Amazon must have fucked up because this album doesn't come out until tomorrow, but I got it today.
This album starts off really well. The first five tracks are fucking amazing. They all ooze emotion. Then Permanating hits and the whole thing starts a downward trend culminating with Song of I, which I've hated since it's release as a single. Detonation is a little bit better, but the closing track Song of Unborn is awesome and sort of redeems the crappy slump the middle of the album finds itself in.
