As I've gotten older and become a more weathered metalhead, I've begun to enjoy the "shit" albums in metal a lot more (for example this, God Hates Us All, etc etc.) - I don't know what it is, perhaps I'm subconsciously becoming ulta anti elitist, while obviously remaining true to the "true". Anyway, I've been digging this album loads over the past week. I just love James' performance throughout.

I've always thought that album was good, but not great. It definitely has some problems if you want to nitpick it, the drums, the production, James' need to add that freakin' "YAH!" to the end of every word, but overall, I still really enjoy it. Haven't listened to it in a while, though...

I was also gonna use this post to possibly rant about how great the new Gojira album is, but the pre-release stream isn't available in the USA. Boooooooo.
