I did read them (your posts), thoroughly too. It's just that I'm too mind-boggled by your inability to grasp Physical Graffiti. You make it sound like it's a challenging record to listen to, and/or enjoy.

I do indeed realize it's all about personal tastes, preferences, opinions, etc., but since I hold this particular album in such high regards MYSELF, then I need REAL reasons why it's "mediocre" to someone such as yourself.

I think Zivilyn has really tried his best to explain himself to you. And I really think that you are pushing him too hard now. especially when you write:

I'm in with Wyvern and Whisper. I just don't get the Zeppelin attraction. They have a few great songs, some really good songs, but overall they never did much for me. I could make a personal "best of" and fit it all on one disc.

And, Zivilyn, please don't judge a whole forum by the boorish voice of one. Controversial subjects are welcome and mostly conducted with respect here on UMOS.

Yeah, I was kinda askin for it. I might as well have put a big target on my chest by bringing up anything negative aout Led Zeppelin, especially in an ol school forum where people really get them.

Funny you say Nevermore too, because I remember making a thread way back about disliking Dreaming Neon Black and some guy FLIPPED on me. Since then it has grown on me immensely, but I still think it's impossible for me to enjoy it as much as Politics of Ecstasy or Dead Heart. So I don't really mind the incredulous posts at all, it's just debate. I think people take it really personal sometimes, but I can just go with it (Unless it's one of those "why the hell did I post that?!" threads).

Like TSO said this is a very open minded forum. We embrace people with positive attitude, intelligent posting orientation and willing to make friends in here.

Sadly many don't read the rules and believe this is like GMD or any other forum, luckily we can always ignore them (awsome gadget the ignore function of the board).

I believe you posted downright for our taste and it's not shame nor disgrace to stick to your beliefs and defend your points graciously. Stay around and you'll see we are a very cool fraternity

From my perspective as a metalhead I've taken enough crap over the years for what I listen to. About the last thing I'll do is pick at someone else's choice in music. Or choice to not listen. Or to question. Basically it's a do unto others thing.

I mean, its nice if you can share your favorites with someone, but wht get excited when someone disagrees with you?

I don't understand when people get angry or defensive when you say that you don't like their choice of music. So what? There are millions of people that will hate what you like. Accept reality and move on with your life. Thats my philosophy.

Nah seriously, even though I don't necessarily share Zivilyn's opinion he has the legitimate right to express it, I can't see anything wrong with disliking a "classic" record, even the ones I love. Life would be so boring if we all had the same tastes...

Yeah me too. Although it'll be March for me. I think my money for my ticket (Gold Badge) has to be in by March 10.

I'll wait until after the NFL schedule is released before I'll book my plane. I have to be sure of when and where the Broncs play that weekend. Last year I stayed up all night Saturday night/Sunday morning, caught a cab to the airport, flew back to Denver, got in my car, drove home, got cleaned up, turned back around and went back to Denver for the home opener. I was up for about 36 hours straight by the time it was all over.
