So as a big H.R. Giger fan, I read his book 'Necronomicon'.
(Well it's more of a portfolio of his work)
His drawings are often based on his dreams (or rather nightmares)
and that's probably the reason why I find his highly detailed masterpieces very inspiring. And it looks like Dimmu thought the same.

So let's take a look at the cover of the 'In Sorte Diaboli" album:

Now let's compare it to the cover of the Giger's Necronomicon:

It's the Baphomet. There is not much of a stylistic or aesthetic similarity. The subject matter is the same, but that doesn't really count for much.

Anyway what was the point of this thread? Giger's awesome? Yeah, everyone knows that.
