Left handed double kick pedals

My friend who's a lefty tells me that you have to buy left handed double kick pedals as they don't make interchangeable left and right ones. From what I can see it looks like he's right.

Is there a cheap lefty double kick or a brand that makes interchangeable ones?

Not cheap, but the Pearl Demon Drives are completely interchangeable from what my old drummer told me.
I could be very wrong though.

should be. my yamahas are at least.

i'd say that if you can break pedals down to two single pedals, you can also make them lefty.

They are. He just had to switch the parts pretty much. Was super simple.
