LEPOND Vs. MILLER

i don't recall seeing this thread here so....who u think is a better bassist? or in that case..."who u think did more or contribuated more in the SX nowadays sound ??"

i'd have to say thomas...He's one of my fvorite bass players of all time. Maybe i'm wrong...what do u think?

This has already been done countless times, sorry to say.

They're both pretty much equal in terms of technique, but I'll have to go with Miller for overall tone and creativity.

Millers tone is awesome, maybe LePond is technically better though.

They both kick insane amounts of ass. However, I prefer Lepond.

I have to go with miller, I don't know who is technically better, but I'm sure miller could play everything lepond did for V and The Odyssey and vise versa as we have seen and heard

i think miller was better than lepond b/c i heard that lepond had to learn "symphony x killer bass style" during the audition

but both are great imo

i think lepond fits in with whats going on better,and i like his style better but miller had some really cool parts to

Miller...is a better bassist. i really like the fills and the bass solo on "the divine wings of tragedy" (the song)

but lepond seems to have contributed more
from what i have read in interviews, i believe that lepond is a better band member and has contributed more by being a good guy and knowing his place in the band
didn't miller and rullo used to fight about stuff?

LePond for me definately. I think he is at least as good of a bassist as Miller, but his stage presence is fuckin quality. I always stand stage left, where he stands, when I see them, and last time, after 2+ hours of amazingness, i jumped right up on the fuckin stage and gave M.L. a big hug It was fuckin cool. *Plus I get to meet them at ProgPower!*

Miller is more technically proficient, but I like Lepond's overall ability. Plus, the contributions he made in "V" are phenomenal.
