Was anyone else unlucky enough to have to watch this on Channel 9? I don't know who put the package together for them, but they seriously had no idea. They had Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue, Audioslave, The Cure, Green Day and a ton a of others to choose from, and they showed Brian Wilson doing a horrible version of "GOod Vibrations" and Craig David and Tina Arena butchering "Come Together". Even Good Charlotte would have been better than that.
No actually I'm not, though I do feel a bit gyped because of the way Nine advertised it by throwing up a tease list of artists that were playing the event, and then not showing any of them. It's worse than the way Ten completely misrepresents upcoming episodes of their shows through clever editing (for example, did anyone see SVU last week? The ads for it suggested that Stabler's son was a suspect in a murder, and he wasn't! He wasn't even involved in any way.). I just can't believe how a major network could drop the ball so badly on this one. I was at the Ninemsn boards earlier and no one had a single good thing to say about their handling of Live 8.
