Thanks!!! It's about the history of Stone and their upcoming reunion, also touching briefly on Pekka's time with Amorphis - he said he had been about to start studying when he was asked to join, but took the chance because Amorphis was already a big name in Europe and just about to go on tour with Paradise Lost, whereas Stone never really made it anywhere outside of Finland. He also says that he hasn't really touched his drumkit since the Magic & Mayhem tour.

BTW I don't think I'll ever get used to Inferno's and Soundi's declension of Amorphis.

I agree. Rumba uses the same wording also.
In my mouth 'Amorphiksen' (as a genitive) sounds better. Or as the same declension as that article, 'Amorphiksessa' (as a in/at Amorphis).

Those two sounds better, but Amorphisin/Amorphisissa is kind of a better finnish grammar. That´s because when declencion at that way, the proper word hold it´s basic form.

It´s really hard to try to explain grammar things with a different language, but Finnish get the point, I hope.

I wouldn't say so. "Amorphis" is derived from Greek, and Greek loan words in Finnish (kat(h)arsis, synopsis, genesis etc.) use the -ks- declension.

Ah, I haven´t thought a origin of the word. You´r right.
Maybe it´s because of Amorphis as a proper word, not substantive. For example 'Tuulin' (as a female name) and 'tuulen' (wind as a substantive). Nevertheless, loan word or not. Don´t now, maybe it´s just reporters own taste.

Without -ks- declension it still sounds odd to me.

Isn't that a Linux derivate? At least you'd have a Finnish connection there, although the name sounds like an African tribe to me...

It is some version of Linux, yes. I think it was initially developed by some South African guy, hence the name.
But it is extremely confusing - looks weird, acts weird and everything is called in a different way. :bah::bah::bah:
Will have to get used to it, though I think it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

According to one of the national TV channels, several whooper swans turned up in a pond near a power station in Rousse. Initially there was just one, then another 12 arrived, but now there's only three - the other ones flew away. The staff of the power station is taking care of them - mostly protecting them from poachers and hunters.
The whooper swans are in the protected species list in Bulgaria.
Far more common are the mute swans, who usually live along the Black Sea coast in the winter, though I saw several there this late summer, so I guess they just stuck around.
If someone manages to take good photos of the whooper swans in Rousse, I'll post them, but so far we only have footage from the other side of the pond ;)

IIRC, it is not that bad. I mean, takes some time, yeah, but you'll get used to it. I used it a bit during a certain period.
If I'm not wrong, Ubuntu/Linux is somewhat a standard in many offices and stuff. Though I'm probably wrong.

Also, nice thing about swans.
Now that I think about it, I guess I've never actually seen a swan...not in the natural habitat, that is.

It's not that bad, it's just strange. I feel somewhat better about it today, especially after I got the IT guy to tweak it more to my taste. I guess I'm getting used to it.
The good thing is that the PC is brand new, very fast and doesn't crash - nothing like the old piece of shit of a computer that I had. Not that I do stuff that requires exceptional computing powers - far from it, but it was pathetic. Now that I don't have to restart it 5-6 times a day and don't have to wait 5-6 minutes for it to do simple stuff like opening a document, life is much better. Besides, now I can also watch the occasional video on YouTube :D

Oh, well you're golden then.

Pro tip: Ubuntu games are better than Windows one :p

Brilliant Slash show last night.
Unfortunately, there was no heating in the hall and as a result today I am down with the worst cold I had in years. Just another victim of rock and roll.

I just noticed that Soundi has switched to -ks- at least in print ("Amorphiksella ilmestyy uusi levy"),
Thumbs_up.gif
to that. However,
Thumbs_down.gif
for printing one of my photos without crediting me ("Soundi archives" my
smiley%20butt.gif
, they just took it from the internet where my name was clearly stated along with it). I'm not asking for money, just for due respect...

Yeah right, Soundi archives in my ass.
Well, the whole article is how to make more money. If they thought that you will take so much money from your photo, that they can´t pay for themselves. :D
Well, very unprofessional from magazine. :yow:
