Who the hell voted for this song 1000 times to be re-recorded with Bush? There's a reason Anthrax do not like playing this song live.

It died in the 80's. If you're going to vote for something from that album, try Madhouse or Gung Ho. Gung Ho would be brutal.

Also.......I don't like seeing people vote for Got The Time. It's a remake, and the original holds up just fine. Antisocial is the only remake I agree with because Bush rules that song.

Don't get me wrong, any Thrax' is good Thrax'..........!

I wouldn't say that. I've probably made the worst of the Lone Justice bashing.

I voted for Gung-ho too. However, this song mostly died in the 80s. How many times did they play it between 1990 and 2000? Hardly ever, if at all. They've played it a few times since 2001.

After the CD is out, and you're listening to Lone Justice re-visited, you'll be happy.

That's my entire point. Lone Justice is not, and has not ever been a popular song among frequent Anthrax listeners. Even old school fans like myself and others have jammed on Thrax for a long time have never really particularly liked that song.

I've heard each of the following older songs mentioned constantly by fans on this board for a long time now.....as well as have noticed these songs on occasion in Anthrax's set list for the past 10 or so years.

I Am The Law
Indians
Among The Living
In My World
Belly of the Beast
Antisocial
NFL
Got The Time
Caught in a Mosh
Madhouse
Metal Thrashing Mad
One Man Stands

These are all songs that fans talk about here a lot. I only hear a couple of people mention Lone Justice and they mention it quite frequently. How could this song be beating all of the above mentioned songs with Mosh and Among being the only exceptions?

I believe it would be best if we picked the songs Bush can really do well. Songs like "In My World" would be absolutely perfect for Bush. And it sits low on the list.

Everyone has their own ideas.....I just don't understand how a song like Lone Justice is #3.

It doesn't matter. The band has the final say on what they will record anyway.
 
i understand exactly where you're coming from. justin and i are the pioneers of the original lone justice campaign, but one man stands? have they even played that live with bush ever? i can only think of one person that advocates that track often.

i would give up lone justice to be on the cd in a heart beat if it meant having something a little more "popular". i just want to hear them do lone justice live. once. that's all. and hopefully it'll be on december 7th in cleveland.

TooleBox Dan is also a pioneer. In fact, he was the first person to have a sign at a show for the song.

Fueled, I don't see at all how "One Man Stands" makes it into that list. AIR, Gung-ho and Be All, End All should be in that list, not One Man Stands.

Basically, you're saying you believe it would be best if people vote for songs you want to hear. Nothing wrong with that, but don't try to act all high and mighty about it. (note: I did vote for In My World)

Granted, One Man Stands isn't exactly the most popular song, and I haven't been bitching about that. Picture above is what I had made from a long time ago, haven't changed it. What I was saying, is that Lone Justice being in the top 3 is utter bullshit. Whatever is on the record is on the record, maybe they'll veto some songs, and keep others, who knows. What's going to be on this box set then?
 
I agree. There's no way that someone isn't voting multiple times for Lone Justice blah. There's about 100 million ways to do this. Especially if you're someone who is good with computers.

As for One Man Stands, that was actually a typo..........now that I look back on it I laugh. I meant "In My World"........LOL I apologize. If I'm correct didn't they play that this past tour with Bush singing? I say it because I think this song reminds me of stuff from Sound of White Noise and would probably be great live with Bush.

It's not even one of my favorite old school Thrax' songs....I just think Bush could take it to the next level.

I do think people should keep in mind........if someone who has never listened to Anthrax put this CD in, what should they hear? What represents the band's work?
 
I'm not that big of an advocate of One Man Stands. That was just a random song I picked on a whim to say is better than LJ because pretty much every song is better than LJ. And I don't think they've ever played OMS even with Joey. It must have been just filler for P.O.T.
 
What about Time from P.O.T? That is definately a Lone Justice beater and John would kill on it. That said it wouldn't really matter which songs 'thrax put on the CD('s :P) I'd still be purchasing it.
