I just watched Stir of Echoes - GREAT movie. Other movies of this "kind" I thoroughly enjoy are:

End of Days
In Dreams
What Dreams May Come
Flatliners

Help me add to this list - I want to make sure I haven't missed other movies of this kind - "crossover" between life/death style, or the good vs. evil fights.
 
Oh man... In Dreams... what a fucking awesome movie... I need to go ahead and buy that... I completely forgot about that movie... Robert Downey Jr. is so freaky in that... he really is a great actor... too bad he can't stay off the crack :)
 
Stir of Echoes was a good idea, but it seemed too short (not in time, but in plot!).

There is a new movie out called 'the one', with jet lee in it i think, it is going to be great. It's kindof like The Matrix cross with Kiss of the dragon. It's a great idea from what i've seen. Keep your eyes out for it...
 
by the way... Stigmata is a pretty good one... I enjoyed Dracula 2000 (There's a really awesome twist of who Dracula actually is) and Bless the Child even though both got poorly reviewed... If I think of anymore I'll let you know... those are my favorite type of movies also!

Saw all of those - MORE MORE, I NEED MORE :) (And the Matrix is my #1 movie of all time - so far)
 
The one looked like this to me "Let's make a movie that uses the same effects as the matrix, now we just need to bs a plot real quick so we can have those bullet dodging effects" I'm sure it's entertaining for the action, but a lot of movies are, but I guess Jet Li makes it good. My friend saw it and said it was decent, but they tried to make it futuristic and the guns made stupid little laser noises and looked dumb.
 
I agree that Stigmata and Dracula 2000 were pretty good. I really need to see Cube and Pi.

Fallen(with Denzel Washington) is another movie that is somewhat along those lines. I thought it was pretty interesting.

yea, the matrix is one of the best movies i've seen


so is gladiator..my second fav. the war between the germans in the beggining is simply the most amazing thing ever to be done in a film
 
WEll how about the Frighteners with michael j fox. Where he has to become a ghost to stop that evil one from killing the girl?

The frighteners was okay, but it was a comedy. There wasn't much of a plot either.
 
I saw Pi, I didn't like it. It was just.. overkill. I don't know if I understood it, or maybe there wasn't anything to understand and I just didn't like it, who knows. I really liked the Matrix as well, they are filming the Matrix 2 and 3 right now, watch out for those. My favorite movie of all time is Terminator 2, and Terminator 3 is going to start filming soon, yay. The sixth day was a good movie, so was the Running Man (both Schwarzenegger) Run Lola Run was one of my favorites also. Total Recall is really good too, I love well-done sci-fi stuff. A good website is www.upcomingmovies.com, it has recent movies, and movies that may have not even started filming yet, it has news that tells you when they've signed someone onto the cast etc. Really good site.
 
oh hehe.. that would explain it... i was kinda bummed because it was so hyped and it looked great... but everyone i knew told me not to see it.. and the reviews were horrible and it was out of theaters in like 2 weeks
 
Terminator 2 is one of my all time favs as well... however... i'm really frightened about terminator 3... I'm afraid it's just going to be horrible and it's going to ruin an otherwise amazing duo of movies
 
I absolutely HATED the matrix, not sure why, maybe it was all those pointless action scenes.

Also "Heist" , a new movie with Samuel L Jackson is pretty good too

Do you follow what everyone else says when they say 'Limp Bizkit is awesome!!'. Do you simply drop your opeth cds and go out and buy them?

Fuck reviews, and fuck what your freinds think.
