Looking for some dark sounding Rock

These if you don't mind the more gothy side of things, plus The Sisters of Mercy...I'd say "First and Last and Always" if you want something darker, but "Vision Thing" 'rocks' harder. All of this is of course if you don't mind drum machines.

I suppose that could be "dark" but it sure isnt rock. What album is that, something later in the 80's ? Doesnt sound like the earlier stuff I remember.

you think it sounds more metal?



anyways its from an album in the late 90's and it alternates. seems like every other song is heavy like that and then the other tunes sound like 70's BOC
