Looks like flight sales have started.

Yeah I saw that Phoenix to Atlanta nonstop on Delta was $302 today. It was $325 last week and like $350-$360 before that.

I just booked Delta out of Philly to Atlanta for $229.60. It was well over $300.00 as early as last week.

What dates are you flying? A friend of mine is also flying out of Philly and just told me he found flights on Delta for $214.60. He's leaving on Tuesday morning and flying back on Sunday afternoon.

I actually got one just under $200 from Newark, which is usually more than Philly and other local airports. I'm leaving Wednesday at convenient times of the day. Normally I spend in the $300 range.

Prices have gone down more than half than a couple of weeks ago. Down from $300 to $138 for RIC to ATL round trip.

About time to pull the trigger on this one!

p.s. Make life easy - use Hipmunk to compare prices. Greatest tool ever! :)

Weird that the Delta flight I'm looking at hasn't changed AT ALL in the last few weeks. Checked this morning, still $489. They will budge soon I'm sure!

In case you didn't already know, Southwest now flies into ATL (effective Feb. 2012). Just trying to be helpful..

It is too bad that Richmond is about a 2 hour drive for me. Then again, when the best I can do otherwise is $266 from Baltimore on Delta, maybe it is worth it.

BTW, I'm still not getting flight information from AirTran's site for the DC area.

Prices are really high up here from Quebec City. I'm talking close to 700$ :yow: . Hope it goes down soon enough...

Departing Thursday the 13th. Returning Sunday the 16th. I just checked again on Delta dot com and it's the same price I paid yesterday.

As others have said, AirTran was bought by Southwest. Maybe you need to check Southwest to see the flights for September.

Edit: Steve and I bought our tickets for $138 round trip from RIC to ATL. Not too bad! :)

AirTran just started another sale:

Looks like they have $100 one-way fares to ATL from several cities on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, including from Minneapolis and Washington DC.

The Minneapolis price right now runs $255-275 RT with a Tue/Wed arrival, so I'll probably be booking tonight.

I just got my non-stop Minneapolis-Atlanta Airtran flight (Tues thru Sun) for $255 RT.

FYI, if anyone is an AirTran Airways A+ Visa cardholder, you should get two $50 off certificates (one per passenger) in your e-mail - so I actually paid $205.
