I did the slate presets, just not with the full midi file.

I refuse to buy the bulb presets, the audio examples on toontrack's site sound terrible.

Obviously it's totally down to your tastes. But I prefer the BFD2 version. It just sounds meatier and more defined for this particular context.

I finally got around to listening and I have to say I definitely agree, BFD wins this round.

Could someone tell me which samples from Trigger Platinum correspond to the "CLA Hybrid kit" in SSD?

I tend to find info like this with google but for some reason I couldn't find an answer after googling twice. Thanks!

Kick 17, Kick 1B, Slate Snare, Snare 20, Maple Toms
(Snares are equal volume, kick 1b is ~twice the level of kick 17)

has anyone purchased the new Allen Morgen presets for Music City? I have his other 2, but I'm wondering if it's that different enough to fork out another $15. I understand there aren't a lot of fans of the whole "gimme presets" generation, but they help me learn since I'm still new to SD2.0 and learning what I'm doing.

I just purchased Music City not too long ago so this pack looks intriguing.

Updated with even more and I did some arranging.

I also dumped Addictive drums because it was the wrong tempo and the clip seemed to sound like ass to be honest. If someone wants to re up then by all means.

is this thread only to show the potentials of each software? because i would REALLY love to hear how the Slate SD2 Fat Metal kit was processed. i cant for the life of me get a nice big sound out of SD2. did you use 3rd party VSTs or the stock ones that come with SD2?

All drums in this thread have no DAW processing on them at all. The plugins all sounds like this, aka Slate's presets for SD2 are all the Sonalksis plugs contained within superior, AD presets are all within AD, etc...

It would have been crappy for comparison if I did that (IMO).

I would share how Slate did the presets, but since you can buy said presets from Toontrack... not gonna happen.

The Nashville EZX is the best EZX IMO...

Except the cymbals, not very good for metal or rock but the drum samples are ace.
