Lucassen's Star One and Ayreon

'Electric Castle' is the one that has taken me the longest to get into so far; the first Ayreon cds i bought were the 2 'Dream Sequencer' discs and they are just about flawless.

It seems like most complaints about Star One point out that the music isn't progressive/complex enough, but that wasn't Arjen's goal. He has stated that the project was meant to be a straight-forward metal album, which is why it was released as Star One and not Ayreon...and yes, his vocalist picks are flawless.

Arjen is a genius and he has great taste in vocalists and musicians. I love all of his work. I just wish he would have come to the UK on his mini tour next month

So far, I've loved everything by Ayreon and Star One, and I also intend to buy the Ambeon album ASAP.

I bought Ambeon a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. You will not be dissapointed. For such a young girl, Astrid has a heck of a lot of talent.
