those are nice, very swanky jazz smoothie style

pete scald has been using the same bass for about 19 years
its a westone haha
but it makes good noise

he dreams of a rickenbacker
I really really dig the bass tone on Headworm, it sounds like a god damn subway going through my face. Ricks are awesome, one of the more distinctive sounding basses out there.

another ridiculous deal ... those of you looking for floor standing speakers ...
these are normally $400 a pair ... now $80 a pair !!!
nothing wrong, Polk is just coming out with a new line this year ...

Hey lurch! Find me a good deal on some form of multitrack recording device, 8 tracks or more. I don't care about portability or fancy features like Built In Shitfects, I just want something to make a quality recording with.

Or some software and a soundcard for my computer, whatever.

Gankshu.

Lurch, opinion on this.

The Venue™ Series Arena is the ideal choice for a home, office or dorm room stereo system where space is limited, but outstanding performance is demanded. Arena is also the perfect solution for main or surround channels in a high-performance home theater system.

EDIT- O.K, after investigating further, I'm not going with these. I'm willing to spend at the most $700 on a pair of kick ass (yet not gargantuan sized) speakers, recommendations?!?!? I was looking at the jbl pro series, which are comparatively the same size.

Lurch are the Klipsch Synergy Series B-3 speakers a step up from the B-2? I'm looking at these puppies to accompany the Onkyo Receiver and CD player.

Those BIC America Bookshelf speakers that Doomriffer was bragging about are also appealing. What's your input Mr. Circuit? I want to awake the dead. (But not at the expense of my bank account) I'm up to about 700-800 with these three purchases.

hahaha ...

ok from my past experience ...

ONKYO is a receiver that has great midrange and bass ... so pairing them up with a brighter speaker like the Klipsch should work wonders. Do try to test drive the Klipsch in the store with some music you like as their horn tweeters could be on the bright side and might not appeal to you ... on the other hand .. they deliver some killer bass as well and require very little juice to play loud ... and play loud they do.

JBL are always a safe bet for rock as well.

Lurchy poo, I'm going with the Doomcifer's endorsement of the B.I.C America DV62's. He and 5 dozen other reviews, aswell as a 58% off price tag on amazon can't go wrong.

This should be a great start in the right direction, as of right now I'm using a fucking boombox, albeit a decent sounding one.

oh yeah ... here's a good deal I found on an Onkyo receiver for you ... this one is 7.1 channels so its future proof ... has some other cool features as well.

add to cart ... to see final price which is $229 ... a steal really for this rig.

I wanted to stick with a pure stereo receiver, as it is much more methull!!! Find me a decent price on the one I posted a pic of, and I'll pay a young puerto rican boy to wash and wax your mini.
