How the hell can I listen in realtime the INSERTS effects while playing?
I'm trying to use an ampsin in the insert slot as I did in my old PCI interface but what I hear is the dry/clean signal.
I turn MONITOR button in Cubase's track as I used to but nothing. If I turn off I don't even hear anything.

Is there any way to play guitar and listen to it without any DAW? PCI's can once Windows is booted.

How must I set the interface to be able to hear post processed signal?

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but I was taking a signal out of the head line out into my interface and I wanted to hear it with an impulse on it and not raw from the head. So I just turned down the volume in the M-audio mixer window and used the direct monitoring in Cubase. Is that what you are trying to do too?

Yes, in my old card when turning on Direct Monitoring, I could play listen realtime inserts and sens effects.
Now when I turn, I hear the dry guitar even though ampsims and impulses are on!

You should be able to turn down the volume so on the M-audio mixer and that should turn off the direct monitoring. That's what works for me at least. I had the problem last week and this solved it, I was using a profire 2626

Nah, he means going into the software control panel for the Profire and turning off direct input monitoring there, rather than in Cubase - I had to do the same with my Onyx 400F when I got it (and also disabling the internal DSP mixer, though it's awesome that it has it and will flash the routing settings to memory so you can use it as a standalone 4-channel analog preamp - ok, I'm done bragging :D)

I'm doing that.

I turn down the Direct Input monitoring on M-Audio control panel to avoid listening to the dry signal. Then I do not listen anything, so it's ok. In Cubase I turn on the Monitor button on the track with Lepou's sim + Voxengo + Impulse... This way when I play guitar I should listen the processed signal.
But NOT, I listen to the dry signal like no effects were applied.

This is what I always did with other interfaces, but this fucking Profire doesn't want to run properly.
I have the lastest drivers.

You want to turn OFF Direct Input Monitoring.

Like the name suggests; it monitors inputs DIRECTLY... ie... it doesn't send it through the effects when monitoring.

Good stuff, I was trying it earlier and I couldn't understand why it wasnt working for you. Glad it worked out for you, I'd have given up after 1 uninstall lol
