M-Audio's Delta Control Panel. Anybody know how to set it up?

In the Delta Control Panel Im unsure what I should be setting the Input of 1/2 for a guitar that first runs to channel A of a DMP3..which I am also unsure of what the DMP3's settings should be at since the VU meters seem to go form nothing to pinned??? Should I be using any of the +4db, con, -10db settings, should it be maxed out, set to zero and controlled with DMP3, or something else??? Im very confused with all the input levels...Delta Control Panel, DMP3, Amp Sim, etc,etc...

And, yes the first place I went/asked was the Maudio forum but have not got an answer to this.

If your Delta Control Panel is much the same as mine then the slider for the input makes no difference to the incoming signal as such; that's just for monitoring. Set it to full (0.0) while sorting your incoming gain levels out. If it's clipping then it suggests you're pushing it too hard and that is something you'd normally solve on the device doing the pushing, in this case the DMP3.
