That is an amazing track The Progenies Of The Apocolype song (I am sure I spelled it wrong). I amen to that song being the definition of metal. Dimmu Borgir is just hated because of a lack of open minded metal fans on here. I haven't really ran into any metal bands that I don't like yet. Even like Cradle Of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, and newer In Flames.

You're giving it way too much credit. It is a great track (I love it) but it is far from the definition of metal.

I think you're confusing beind open minded with having really low standards. The only way you could seriously claim that anything Slipknot or Dimmu Borgir have done is the definition of metal and keep a straight face is if you have infact heard very little metal to begin with and have no historical perspective whatsoever.
