I'm teaching a buddy of mine how to use logic and doing some quick mixing techniques with him over the internet. Right now were both using ichat but have skype accounts too

Is there anyway I can share my screen so he can see what I'm doing, be able to talk over it so he can hear me (obviously) but ALSO share my computer output straight to his, so he doesn't have to listen through a shitty mic, shared with my voice

I can screen share and use the built in mic to talk but I really wanna send the computer output to his laptop too

Thanks in advance

Skype can screen share just fine, but sharing a mic + computer audio I'm not sure. You might be able to find some sort of intermediate driver online that lets you internally route your microphone and computer output to a new "phantom device" or something that you can select in Skype... That's probably the route you want to search down.

I think JACK might be able to do it actually?

Just check out JACK mate, couldn't see anything which might do it. Although I just had an idea which might work, connect my headphone output into my input and just select thats my input in ichat. That will broadcast my computer sound but not my voice : /

I know some Creative sound card have a "what you hear" function that lets you use it as a recording device in most software. If you have a mic plugged in with monitoring on, it will be heard in that as well. That's assuming you have a Creative card for your PC though...
