November 10th-- San Francisco-- Fillmore
November 13th- New York- Fillmore (?)
November 15th- House of Blues- Houston
November 18th- House of Blues Chicago

I saw this in a Live Nation email about the San Francisco show and was really curious on the other tour dates.. It will be really interesting to see how they do in these shows--

I really hope they come to Atlanta.

The other question is, how many hotel rooms will they destroy?

when they played NYC in May 2008, 3,000 people were there.
Yeah, I was skeptical before that show in NY, but I have no doubts that this tour will sell out.

I'm not 100% sure about Chicago, but it looks like they're picking cities where there is a strong enough Hispanic market for them to draw from. As long as that is the case, they will have no trouble selling out these shows. Remember, there were folks that came to the New York show back in the spring from clear across the country. Hell, there were people there from Argentina, Mexico and Columbia.

well if that is the case, then Atlanta should top that list for anywhere south of NYC and east of Texas. :Smug:

:p LOL

That blows me away--Their album sales have been nowhere near what Angra has been-- I think it is the same effect as metal in Latin countries, where people don't really buy the albums but go to shows religiously-- Also- the Spanish language probably does not hurt--

Anybody have any idea how they did so well??

I have heard that they get a lot of airplay on International Radio stations (like channels for "World" music) not exactly metal or rock stations. That would probably have something to do with it. They are also HUGE in South America, Spain, Mexico, and other countries, so anyone who moved from one of those countries to America has probably heard of them and is a fan. There were alot of shirts from their concerts from all over the world at the show I saw them at in NYC.

I was still very surprised at how many fans they had in the US. I expected about 20 people to be there. I thought nobody in this country knew who they were.

I was thinking the same... I thought it would be one of those shows that they would be lucky if 100 people showed up, no joke...

Absolutely right. You also have to remember the large latino/hispanic community in the northeast. NY, NJ, CT and MA have a lot of immigrants from countries in which Mago de Oz does so well (like the South American ones for instance). I'm honestly not surprised at all that they drew so well in these areas.

I think I might go see them in NYC next month. Sounds like it could be a fun show. It'll be packed though, for sure.

you really should go. I had a blast when I saw them. High energy, fun show.:headbang:

well then they can come on through Atlanta and end their tour in Miami, since it's on the way home, eh? ;)
How is Miami on the way home to Spain from Atlanta? :p

You should come! It would be good to see you sometime other than PP. Their last show in NYC was definitely a great time! :headbang:
