So, with summer almost over, its time to look at what the autumn will bring in the way of releases from Majestic Rock…

With the promised brace of ELIXIR reissues and the extraordinary rush of adrenaline that is the debut album from Tokyo, Japan’s HELLHOUND now available, what’s due out from Majestic Towers?

Well, September sees a live album from WAYSTED, a reissue from MARSHALL LAW, the debut album from Japan’s power metal sensations WIZARDS’ HYMN, the much talked of 4 disc HEAVY PETTIN’ box set….and the first two releases on our new label Krescendo records….

Recorded last September on the band’s ‘Back From The Dead’ tour. WAYSTED’s ‘Organised Chaos…Live’ is all you could want and expect from a live record from Pete Way n’ the boys. MARSHALL LAW’s ‘Powergame’, previously only available in Japan in 1993, finally gets a full European release. Produced by Robin George, this thunderous affair is a must for fans of Priest style metal.

WIZARDS’ HYMN release their debut album ‘Hymnal’ in September, and this female fronted Japanese melodic power metal act have much to offer the genre. As the recent MASTERPIECE release showed, the Japanese have a precision in this field that borders on the breathtaking!

The HEAVY PETTIN’ 4 disc box set ‘Pettology’ sees the light of day in September, containing the two Polydor albums, the ‘Live At The Astoria 1984’ DVD and the audio disc of the live show plus many previously unseen photos in a deluxe box and limited to 1000 copies world wide…well, you’d be daft not to, wouldn’t you…?

Which brings us to our new baby, Krescendo Records. Aimed fairly and squarely at a more contemporary audience, Krescendo is set to be Majestic Rock’s younger, snottier brother. First up will be the ‘Who Knows The Unknown’ mini album from London metal act PDHM and the intriguingly named ‘Super Pony’ from Bristol based alternative rockers Mono Effecto. More to follow…..

Can't wait for Wizard's Hymn. It's been described as "a cross between DragonForce and Sonata Arctica with female vocals" ... which is good enough for me to lend em an ear.

Anybody have any of their stuff?

Haha that was an excellent video Ken, pitty we couldn't see much of you hidden away at the back! Even thou it was a small video camera, I could hear the sounds pretty well, and was really impressed. It would be foolish on Majestic Rock not to pair you up with Power Quest for a tour, as you both have a very similar sound and style.

Congrats guys :D

Thanks!!
And we Japanese are waiting for PQ to come here on tour!!;)
If PQ Japan tour is confirmed, Don't forget to pick WH as a support act.

Who knows what the future will hold? It would be an absolute dream come true to visit Japan and play some shows :headbang:

I would have to be there for that if it happened. Seriously, Japan rules and the only thing that's stopped me from getting over so far is getting the time off at the right time and lack of funds. Japan has it all.....a great metal scene, great culture, great food, the best women....but to see Power Quest there as well would make it even more worthwhile.

18-09-2006 | LIGHTSPEED SIGN TO MAJESTIC ROCK

Canada`s Pomp Rock overlords LIGHTSPEED have signed to Majestic Rock for the international release of their current album `WAVES` at the end of October and the reissue of their previous two studio albums in early 2007.

29-09-2006 | POWER QUEST REISSUES PLUS MORE....

Plans are underway for deluxe two disc reissues of the first two POWER QUEST albums `Wings Of Forever` and `Neverworld`

The band is currently collating material for the releases, which will include a second DVD disc that will include relevant footage to each album. The albums will be remastered and hopefully should see the light of today in November.

Also in the planning stages are deluxe reissues of both Waysted`s `Save Your Prayers` and the Pete Way / Michael Schenker side project album `The Plot`. Watch this space for more details...
