Males and Females

I would think you could do it for $200-$250. That's expensive, but not quite "extremely"

That sounds about right, but yes, I consider that extremely expensive, for that much money to vanish to fund one day that will mostly consist of driving. Doesn't pass the cost/benefit analysis relative to income.

Yeah good point. Well you could spend a night or two at grand canyon village, i guess that would add an extra 150-250 per night though...

I would say my biggest regret at this point is not doing more traveling before I had kids. Until they are old enough to actually enjoy it to, traveling certainly is a major drag economically, physically, and mentally.

I've never understood why so many people have kids. To me, having that much responsibility in my life is unthinkable. I'm too individualistic and goal-driven.

I'm certainly individualistic (some might even suggest hyper-individualistic) and goal driven. My goals just included kids. Falls under my beliefs about personal responsibility.

Because responsibility is a pain in the ass and i'd rather do something meaningful with my life than have it full of responsibilities?

People do non-fun work for a reason - you can't just say "why not" to justify doing it.

I don't consider abdication of personal responsibility a sustainable path, regardless of the subject. I don't regret having kids. I regret wasting opportunities prior to that.

Funny, i'm just as stressed as ever, if not more so, yet my sex life is far far far far superior than it has been ever in my life.

Fortunately, I managed to meet a smart girl who claims to "never want kids".

Unfortunately, I don't think she likes me like that. FUCK

Evolutionary drive.

I never want to get married or have kids. The closest I'll get is adopting, but I've heard that it's hard to do for a single man. If I can't adopt without getting married, I guess I'll just go without children.

I think you probably would be ok at it because you're well educated. You seem to occasionally make some shitty decisions though. No offence.

My ex-girlfriend had the mindset to adopt a child from a third world country instead of having her own children, she sees it as saving them instead of overpopulating the world with our own spawn selfishly.

I don't really care, I don't like children either way.

She sounds awesome.
