how do u feel about some mallcore bands

i lik slipknot even though not metal
its a little embarsing i have got all there cds next to bathory vilyls and mayhem cds

Why should it matter? If you enjoy the music of one particular band then there's really no reason to be embarrassed. Its only music isn't it? Who gives a shit what others think.
 
Not really. but mallcore doesn't really cover any specific type of music the way nu-metal does...so I don't know
 
Well then, I might enjoy some of it, on occasional listen, but it's probably nothing I have in my music library. I used to be a big slipknot fan, but my interest has faded in the past couple years or so.
 
I like Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down........and that's about it. For the most part I hate mallcore but I guess those bands are ok. I used to like Slipknot and Korn a lot but I kind of lost interest and now only listen to 'em once in a while. I don't think it should be embarassing if you like at least some nu-metal unless you consider it REAL actual metal which it most definitely isn't. If you like Limp Bizkit, though, you should be embarassed.
 
I used to listen to a lot of Slipknot and Korn , still think they're alright but my taste in music has evolved A LOT over the last few years . Now if I'm gonna listen to metal it'll be something like Opeth or Meshuggah instead of Slipknot or Korn (although there ARE occasions when I just gotta hear Life Is Peachy :p ) I see nothing wrong with this scene - it's sort of a gateway for people to discover REAL metal music , if they're so inclined .
 
You have nothing to be embarrassed about, I have a Patsy Cline CD right in between Nile and Suffocation. I stopped trying to seperate my CDs once my CD shopping addiction became chronic.

Not only that but it throws browsers for a loop...
 
Yeah Hot Topic does have some good shirts :cool: That's really the only reason I ever go in there . And it never fails : EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in there I run into some goth kid I went to school with :yell: And they're always like "Aw man we gotta hang out sometime !" ... ugh .

I have nothing against them really - but they're posers and I know it . Kinda makes me sick to see them buying Opeth and Darkthrone shirts just to look metal .
 
Metalcore (ooops... sorry: "mallcore") is my favourite genre... I also had my prejudices once but I had learned to love it, and my favourite bands (SYMPHONY IN PERIL, UNEARTH, TRIVIUM, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, IT DIES TODAY, GODSMACK) are Metalcore...

The style has a lot of strength, an outstanding Melodic work and usually great lyrics (related to the real world, something not common in Metal)... I also like some Hardcore stuff (specially HATEBREED) so I can say Metalcore is certainly my cup of tea.

yes I am sure than anytime you buy a Metal shirt you're not trying to look metal yourself...
