I'm keen to try to emulate Steph Carpenter's tone, so I've been trying to find a JMP-1 sim - is there one available?
Marshall JMP-1 Sim - does one exist?

It was confirmed by Line 6's engineers that their Chemical X model in Pod Farm is a modded Marshall JMP they got access to.
Also, Waves GTR 3.5 has a couple of different JMP sims, and they actually sound pretty decent.
Amplitube has one (Vintage Metal amp model), but it's ancient and was never particularly good (which is why no one talks about it).
Studio Devil's Amp Modeler Pro has two JMP models (one stock, one with "mid-scooped mod).
That's about I know of.

You can download Amplitube Custom Shop for free and try the Vintage Metal JMP sim for yourself for 3 days. Every other option is going to cost you before you can play a single solitary note.

mikah912 you may have confused the Marshall JMP and JMP-1. The JMP was a series of different amp head models manufactured in the 60's and 70's with the same cosmetics. The JMP-1 is a 1U solid state midi preamp with tubes tacked on for reasons only marketing knows. The JMP-1 was the baby of one Mike Scuffham. I'd check out his plug-in if I was chasing that tone.

Yes, Line 6 has one. It's not the Chemical X. It's called the Brit JM Pre or something like that. It sounds terrible, though. Super uber mega dark.
I definitely did confuse them. I have Scuffham S-Gear, and while I like the Marshall-inspired amp on there, it isn't much for high gain...even with a TSE808 in front.
Thanks for the suggestion guys, I shall take a look.....Any thoughts on how I might get towards a Diamond Eyes type sound?
