Marvelous Mixing Practice - Periphery "Ragnarok"

Hi guys! I have some mixing practice for you right here. This time I recorded a cover of Periphery's "Ragnarok". You can find the files here:

Everything recorded at 44.1KHz, 24 Bit with my Schecter Damien 7 equipped with EMG-HZ Pickups.

Tempo is 125 BPM until bar 74 where it changes to 115 BPM.

Here is my mix/playthrough:



In this mix I used:

Steven Slate Drums 4 for Drums
Podfarm 2.5 for Guitars/Bass Processing
Zombass 3 for Bass DI
Reason 5 for Synths

worldwideweapon: Thanks man! It's Steven Slatge Drums 4 (as stated above). Mixing-wise, it's honestly 100% subtractive EQ. I demoed the "Waves H-EQ Hybrid Equalizer" for this mix for the general tone-shaping of the sounds, and the "Waves Q10" which I bought earlier this month for lots, and lots of small narrow cuts, just to get rid of all the junk. Then parallel compressed to hell and back. Pretty much that. A small amount of a really big reverb on the snare, high-passed all the cymbal tracks pretty hard and a small amount of reverb on them too!

I´m going crazy with it. I think is 125 until 02:20. After that, the tempo change. I think the tempo are included in the drum midi track but Cubase don´t reconize and I don´t know why...

Edit: 00:00 to 02:20 - 125 bpm
02:20 to end - 115 bpm

Yeah, sorry guys, completely forgot to write down the tempo changes. It always fall so natural to me to just import them from the MIDI files.

Great cover, thanks for posting! This is my first attempt at this one and I've got a few revisions to make before it's finished(Definitely gotta fix the clipped subdrop and the toms) but I figured I might as well get some input beforehand. Any feedback is welcome/appreciated!

1. Open Cubase - dont create new project just first import the midi drums then add folder project thats all
2. next import all audio tracks

Yeah, I thought about asking someone for vocals, but then Sponce's vocals is quite difficult, haha!
