..or "how km184 kicks way more ass than I thought it would"

some mices (esp the m160) have got a strong proximity effect, those need a low shelf about a dB or 3....but they're mainly blenders anyway

mics are:

sm57
c414XLII
KM184
M201
M160
MD421
e906
Mic Shootout

and here's a bonus one...the km184 with slightly different ampsettings:

km184 yummy

thank you Marcus for the cool DI

:OMG:

nice !!

the added km 184 clip is my favorite.

any info on the cab ?
aand : is this double tracked ?

nice one !

wow, is it celestion V 30 ?

i will get a diezel v 30 any time soon, but this mesa sounds amazing...
man, this is soo good, have to listen to that over and over, hehe!

I'm in Europe, sorry :(

it's really great, it's got more bite and a tighter bottom end than the boogie, but doesn't sound as "smooth", and that's what I love about the boogie

damn sucks for me :( but id love to get one to go along with my fireball sometime. but i hear you on the boogie's being smooth there my all time fav cabs. thats why i needed two haha. but my vote goes for the e906

i think the km184 sounds the best, or at least the most natural. i also liked the 414 more than i thought i would, but it does have a certain fizziness that i'm not a fan of. i have to say i think the e609 is my least favorite.

edit: the m160 sounds like the best dynamic mic out of those if you were to use it by itself, but i'll bet the 57 blended with the km184 would sound great!

In the shootout I prefered the SM57 (slightly over the 906), then after these I liked the bonus KM184.

A 57/KM184 blend should sound pretty good!
