I heard somewhere this was ripped off of i think Morbid Angel...

Does anybody know what song it was ripped off of?

I love Morbid Angel. They are in my top 5 favorite bands, and I have all of their albums. (Including Entangled In Chaos and Abominations Of Desolation.) Along with Pete; Trey, while not being insanely talented, has some of the most unique sounding guitar tracks I've ever heard.

Your sig is from the Covenant booklet, isn't it?

you sir, should never be a talent scout for a record label.
:zombie: Okay, maybe I should rephrase myself. Trey does have talent, but his solos sound like noise. I realize that that is the whole concept of his sound, but it's not that difficult to play. Talent doesn't really matter in this case anyway, Morbid Angel is awesome.

do you realize how long it took me to figure out what that word was?

man i agree...i hate when people can't spell. i mean, you have infinite time to edit before hitting "submit" so why not get it right the first time?

there is certainly some similarity between parts of master's apprentices (the opening especially) and the general vibe of morbid angel. it's hard to pin it on one particular morbid angel track, i think. it's not that unsurprising that there is some similarity here, since mikael lists trey azagthoth as one of his favorite musicians. however, i would not call anything in master's apprentices a rip off from morbid angel.
