Max Johnson goes to Amsterdam, Belgium, and Iceland

I KNOW YOU'RE FUCKING SOMEONE EEEEELLLLLSE!
HE KNOWS YOUR FUCKING SOMEONE EEEEEEEELLLLLLSE!

That is like, THE song to listen to when you break up with a chick. Therapy through anger.

edit: oh wow, I got the "you're" correct the first time, but not the second. GENIUS.

I'm off to Sweden for a couple of months in 2 weeks, followed by travels around Europe. Admittedly, my Belgium stopover will only be for the beer. I'm hoping to head to Iceland, but not sure whether I'll have enough funds.

Anyway, have a good time.

I think alot of people (especially in this forum) really enjoy nature and exquisite scenery, hence the affinity towards Iceland. Im sure if I went to Iceland I would spend 95% of my time just walking around the land.

I'd like to visit to walk the ground from the Icelandic sagas, to breath the air still redolent of burning farms and the screams of victims...

but I can't say it's my first destination choice.

If you read the whole thread, my point was that I fail to see what Iceland has that say, New England doesn't (besides the volcanic-activity/hot springs thingies). And yes, I used an extreme example to prove a point.

Lots of European nations offer 102.3% of what Iceland offers in terms of nature, while at the same time, also offer 784.9% more things to do with regards to nightlife, etc.

The fact that there's only like 2 different surnames in Iceland (sigurdsson and sigurdsdottir) may also hint at similarities in genetic makeup.
you don't understand how surnames work in iceland do you

I didn't say I wasn't interested in Iceland, just wondered why people placed such high emphasis on it. As I said somewhere in this thread, there are many, many more places I'd rather visit.

I'm with ya Gugs. If I'm going out of the U.S. I'm probably going for the people and culture (though scenery is a huge plus). Honestly, I've almost never seen landscape pictures of other counties and go apeshit over it. The U.S. has an amazing variety and many locations comparible to more exotic locales landscape wise. If I wanted to see a cool landscape, I could stay in the U.S. and see it a lot cheaper. I like to travel abroad for other reasons. Therefore, Iceland isn't exactly high on my list.
