What were the most important Opeth tour during their history? Ok from BWP things are different..but before? Did they support MAYH and Still Life?
they didnt tour that much for their albums back in the day. they couldnt support themselves like they do now.
"No wonder Peter left"? What about Mendez, Per and Axe? Give me a damn break. Mike said something about Peter pursuing his education.
Besides, just like you said, they toured pretty heavily to support Ghost Reveries so unless I'm mistaken, they made some nice cash besides this 1000 pounds a month. Now they'll probably tour their asses off to support this new album and make some more cash. It's not like this 1000 pounds a month is their entire income forever.
Isn't that like $5,000 each?
That's not bad. You can live off of that pretty decently and you get paid to do what they do. For a death metal band, I'd say that's pretty fucking good.
1000 pounds a month..
Then it's not bad at all :\yeah, thats just a flat rate roadrunner pays him. doesnt count merchandise/touring etc
depends on taxes i guess. US only has to pay like, what, something like 15% or less of their wages. some places got to pay something absolutely ridiculous like >30%
In Sweden, around 30% is actually the lowest income tax. They higher your salary, the higher the income tax. Actually, you pay 30% up to a certain amount of your income, and in steps more and more percentage for more and more income. It goes up to 55% if you have a high enough salary (yes, it's insane that the government gets more money than you from your pay raise if you get one and at the same time are above that certain amount in salary).
