Mike and others always talks about MAYH beeing som brutal and dark, than they did GR wich, according to Mike, would be so evil and dark. Well...i don't think any of those albums are very dark or brutal. Pretty far from it actually.

Maybe for the first two songs.. but MAYH is clearly the most evil Opeth album as a whole.

I'd say it's the darkest-sounding Opeth album ever, but in terms of intensity, definitely Deliverance.
People seriously have to get over Mike saying GR was going to be dark and black metal sounding. He said that on the Lamentations DVD before he even wrote for the album and really knew what he was going to do. Now if this next album turns out not to be fast, disharmonic, and twisted, then we can say Mike is kinda full of shit. But seriously.. I feel like a lot of people might dislike GR because it didn't live up to a description given a while before it was even written.

Well I think MAYH is the most powerful album but the most evil is deliverance the most twisted is still life ghost reveries is very dark and evil in some songs but also it has various moments of light like atonement and isolation years and almost all the acoustic sections but mike always said in the interviews that the next album is more evil and twisted and dark I`v read interviews about still life, blackwater park, deliverance and ghost reveries and he said that but I would like a really twisted, disharmonic, and weird next album like the drift with guitars and growls
