A friend of mine has been having issues with his Mbox 2 and plugging his guitar straight in (for the purpose of reamping later).
Apparently he can only get very little level into ProTools before his guitar sounds like its audibly distorting. He is plugging right from the guitar into the DI input on the mbox 2 and he needs to put the pad on, otherwise it distorts outright.
His concern is if he isn't getting enough level, that noise and quality may be a problem later on down the track.
Since I don't own an Mbox2, I put it to you guys, do you know what could be going wrong?
