MBTI?

Whenever I take an MBTI test, I come out as INTP or INTJ, more often the former. From my experience with INTPs on the internet, I've noticed a great deal of pseudointellectualism among them. I used to argue with guys in the philosophy subforum at some INTP board and they'd always get BTFO'd because almost all of them had this impression of themselves as really deep thinkers, but they were usually just talking straight out of their asses.

I feel like the INT personality types just run rampant in academia. Most of my colleagues were insufferable to be around and to get one of them to do anything that wasn't research or grading was like pulling teeth.

I don't understand the relation between the first sentence and the second sentence.

INTPs and INTJs definitely see evidence differently. I would say though, that it's about preference. INTJs dislike the "feeling" of open ended speculating, drawing from subtle clues, but it is and has been a useful and important activity in various ways.

Yeah. I think have developed more a preference for J over the years. My most recent results have come out as INTJ.

i got infp iirc, but they were all close except for the P, and as ever the questions aren't nuanced enough for me to believe they've interpreted my answers correctly.

I used to be INTP but nowadays I get INFP every time I take a test. A lot of my friends are into this typology shit so I get subjected to it a lot and I'm pretty fed up tbh.

I'd like to see a study on the MBTI types of various artists, and whether it can explain differences in artistic style. As an NT I think my art has a fairly engineered/premeditated character, unlike that of artists who just get into a flow and create in the moment.

I assume such a study would be incredibly difficult, given the wildcard impact of mind-altering substances.
