Me singing damnation game =P

Jaxx, should rip it to disc and send it to the guys ;-)

I'm sure they get boxes of CD-R's with hopefuls and tributes.

I know when I worked at a concert venue, fans dropped off piles of CD's to guys like Satch, Vai etc backstage. Of course they went straight into the trash. Over time I salvaged a few, regrettebly. ALL OF THEM should have STAYED in the trash, but some were so bad they were funny.

One Vai wannabe did a full length album, artwork and everything, photos with him and his 12 Jem collection, poses and all, recorded in his own pro studio. I thought this should be alright.... Never judge a book (or CD) by it's cover. :D

Hats off to him for the effort though. More than I've ever done :(

sorry man but i dont like your voice at all... u could always get better, maybe you are right now, but that recording is oh so terrible... u dont hit the notes, the vibrato sucks and even when u hit the high notes, u do it in an unnatural way that isnt enjoyable for the listener. practice practice practice.

hmmmm....thanks for your opinion.

Wow.

That's really good. As mentioned before, keep your guitarist. And your drummer for that matter.

Keep yourself too. Though you did sound a bit strained at times, with about an hour more of practice, it could be amazingly(er?) good.

It was a fairly rough recording but not that dissimilar from one of Symphony X's preliminary recordings I've heard. You guys definitely have tallent to pull that off  . I would agree that your biggest weakness here is timing. You were only off pitch in a few places that I noticed. Being a singer myself I know it is much harder than it seems and I wouldn't be comfortable singing with most of Symphony X's songs. You're sound fits this style fairly well. Have you ever taken lessons? I would recommend http://www.singingsuccess.com/

Brett Manning's program has helped me out, though I haven't really had an outlet to use my voice other than jamming with some guys.

Take care and good luck!
