Winamp for listening, itunes for putting stuff on my ipod. Adding stuff to my ipod with winamp never works, it says it's copied and then when I try to listen to it I can't find it anywhere on my ipod and I'm like "

" and have to go re-add everything with itunes.

Not to mention that the concept of saving money is completely foreign to you, or is only employed to the extent that the need for metal-related purchases of several hundred dollars at once periodically arises..

Ironically, I've been saving money lately :p hence not buying too much music lately!

Funnily, I don't think I've heard of Ents ouside the game world of Sacrifice(PC).(Shiny Entertainment's penultimate masterpiece) Ah, such lumbering ugly fucks! They were the servants of the Goddess of Life Persephone; one of the biggest creatures in her menagerie, actually. It cost 4 souls to conjure one up.

I'm pretty sure they have to be from some old fantasy literature, as they are also in the Disciples series turn based strategy games.
Treants, ents w/e lol

Tolkien invented the Ents, as far as I'm aware. Of course they were based on ideas from various other mythologies.

I use Windows Media Player, and people seriously need to stop bitching about it. I suspect that a lot of people who complain about it haven't used it since version 5 or something when it was legitimately horrible. I use WMP over Winamp because I don't like the Winamp interface.

Agreed. I use WMP, and find it more than enough for my current needs. I don't bother using the built in library though, since I have set up my own folder sub-system. Hitting Windows+E and knowing exactly where I want to go is easier than going through a massive list imo.

The Winamp interface is intensely customizable.

True, but when it tries to load my library it shits a brick and fucking collapses on me.

It takes 5 seconds until iTunes opens.

With Foobar, as soon as I click on the icon, it opens.

IDK, that's fast enough for me I guess. I don't need it to be instantaneous. Plus I don't really listen to my music off my computer that often anyway, it sounds better when I play it through my iPod dock.

I get what you're saying, I just don't see that as really significant.

Make sure you have an album title for your songs..or in the very least, press the spacebar once when naming if you don't know the album title, otherwise the songs won't come up when you search through your artists

I do agree with VLC player being awesome, especially when you are watching (physical) dvd's on your computer - it actually maintains the aspect ratio (something I've found WMP has a hard time doing).

I still don't like it for music though... and I hate that damn road-cone icon.
