Melodic/melo death recs?

I can't really find much in this genre. Seems very boring and generic.

Anyways, if you want good melodeath, here are a few of my favorites in the genre:

Sacramentum is black metal, I've heard of them before.

Aside from that I'll check out that last one you mentioned since I haven't heard that before.

Dark Lunacy gets better with each release I guess, I don't find myself going back to them often though. Overall nice recs.

Lykathea and Intestine are the best bands on that list imo. Heard of those but nice recs.

I like pretty much every Hypocrisy album... but, I recommend the one thats the best, the darkest and the flat out most evil when I recommend them to someone else. If they like it, they'll take it from there.

True, but I think their older stuff is more aligned with old-school/traditional melodeath.

Crogacht is a killer record though.

It is, yeah, actually a bit on the folky side. Stuff like Signs for the Fallen is closest they came to Gothenburg kinda stuff imo.

This is sort of random, but after a couple of listens I think Impaled's Death After Life is relevant to this thread; despite the badass death metalry, there's a very strong sense of melody. Also, learn to search for the eight or nine past melodic death metal threads please...
