Mesa Traditional W/MC90's Speaker Shootout!

Ok, as with all new cabs...a speaker shootout is a must, so here's this one!

Tried to mic each to close to the previous as possible, about 1" away from the cloth and the 57 aiming at the edge of the speaker area.

Bottom Left sounds the most balanced to me, so that's the winner, although Top Right isn't bad also, Top Left seems a little thin, and Bottom Right is just plain terrible.

BL i think for me, i think the suttlties are the very very very slight positioning of the mic, but the L side of the cab sounds nicer

The top ones sound tighter and have less nasty mids.

Hmmm im still finding it tough to decide Left side of the cab seems to be favoured but top or bottom left is the question

TL gives the best clarity and crispness. Definitely a bit of a G12T-75 vibe going on. BL sounds a little cloudier and grainier in the mids. BR could work in some mixes, more of a V30 kind-a vibe with that one. I am not referencing these to anything, just a general perception, so could be way off . Good choice of riff for the sound of these speakers. What Preamp?
