The new Summoning album might be the best black metal album since Beherit's "Engram" and that's saying something.

Demoncy's Enthroned is the Night and Profanatica's Profanatitas de Domonatia are in there somewhere. Great stuff. Thy Kingdom Cum is also quite good if you have a priest to sodomize.

Profanatitas came out before Engram, and Demoncy...yeah, that album is literally the only one I could think of.

You're right -- thanks for the correction. I remember it as newer for some reason.

That Demoncy album I under-rated at the time, then rediscovered in the car, and have found it utterly sustaining and beautiful. It's less dramatic than Joined in Darkness which makes it better for everyday listening. More like a book of ideas or puzzles.
