Shogun is a pretty good album. It's like the only decent metalcore-ish album. I listened to it a lot back in the day.

Don't know about those, but I've heard a shitload of metalcore bands that are crap. Admittedly, even Trivium's other albums kinda suck.

Not really, check out anything by either band's debuts perhaps.

I'm just pointing out that Metalcore is a bastardized label these days, Trivium fucking suck no matter what they're called though.

They went down since Shogun, although In Waves was a decent album. They are one of those over hyped bands popularized by their labels.

But I enjoyed Ascendancy and Ember to Inferno.
