Metal bands covering rock songs

I love the cover In the Woods made from 'White Rabbit' (Jefferson Airplane). On the other hand, the "Paint It Black" cover featured on the Peaceville X compilation was utters shit. All "Paint it Black" covers by metal bands I've heard are shit actually. Do you know any that are good (Paint it Black or not) ?

I recently downloaded "a metal tribute to abba"some of it was pretty good but most of it was actually funny.
same goes for the metal tribute to led zeppelin.

blind guardian - wizard, surfin' usa, mr sandman
dream theater - perfect strangers --------> not bad for this band
opeth - soldier of fortune --------> not bad
moonspell - mr crowley
katatonia - nightmares by the sea
in flames - everything counts ------> not rock, but worth mentioning here
