Sorry if there was already a thread about this, but browsing back through the past month or so I didn't see one.

So yes, this album RULES. Absolutely old-school, catchy as fuck melodic metal with the usual hints of power and thrash. The new singer is a combination of the best of Howe and Wayne, with a bit more of a clean touch. Highly recommended. Thoughts?

Sorry to dump cold water here but I didn't like it. I hear it prior to its release and I found it weak and uninteristing. None of the greatness of the debut or the quality of "Blessing In Disguise" (their best IMO). Besides with only Vanderhoof and Arrington hanging in the band I feel this is not really Metal Church, I need at least Howe and Ericsson around.

I'm glad you people like it ;)

can't find it anywhere except virgin and they want 20$ for it!

so, it is weak aint it, I mean I always expected it to be along the lines of excitr's new testrament, except being a new album, so sort of post heavy metal, but now I expect some fake oldschool stuff.

I found it a little better than you did, Wyvern but I still don't think that it is up to their standards. One or two tracks struck me as better than average but not much more than that.

Absolutely!!!

It doesn't match up to Howe era MC, nor the debut, but it is still very good in my ears. It is much better than "Masterpeace." I really dig it. The production could be a little brighter, but I really dig it for the most part. As far as vocals, I don't see the vocalist being a cross between Howe and Wayne though. He has a nice voice, but it is not in their league.

There isnt much that does hold up to Howe Era MC ... that is one of my alltime favorites for anybody's era's hahahaha ... But I can say the New MC isnt bad at all .... Personally I like Masterpeace better .. but I always liked that one ... anyways the New MC still "Sounds" like MC thats what matters to me

Good enough for this old Metal Church fan. I saw them three months ago, they are very good live and sound heavy enough.

Munroe has a sort of raspiness when he screams, I was thinking that he might not have had the range of Wanye, but that matters little -- it is a solid album nonetheless...
