Not sure if these guys have been mentioned here? Anybody who is lucky enough to live near where they play ever seen one of their shows?

And anybody heard their EP "Hole Patrol" that came out last year? It's fuckin awesome! Hilarious stuff! The lyrics are a spot on perfect parody of the '80s Sunset Strip metal scene, very very funny! But the thing is, the songs themselves are absolutely AWESOME and with serious lyrics rather than comedy ones could've been HUGE hits in 1987! (Every song sounds like it came straight from the '80s!) It really is '80s hair metal perfection, absolutely killer songs, and the guys can play too! Mix in totally hilarious parody lyrics and its a very entertaining listen!

:headbang:

They are promoted heavily by Metal Sludge (which is the only place that sells the CD too). They play all the Metal Sludge Extravaganzas as well as the Viper Room in Hollywood every Monday night.

Their CD has 5 songs with comedy interludes between some of them...

1. Satan's Intro - a send up of In The Beginning... by Motley Crue haha its great!
2. Big Boobs - this track is an ultra-sleazy thumpin' metal song. Parody of all the sleaze lyrics of the '80s.
3. Is It Hot In Here? - comedy intro to the next song
4. Hell's On Fire - another thumpin' metal anthem. Lyrics are a parody of hell/Satan references in metal haha.
5. Fat Girl (Thar She Blows) - sounds EXACTLY like it came off Whitesnake 1987! Great song & hilarious.
6. Michael Falls In Love - comedy intro to the next song.
7. Stripper Girl - Every Rose style power ballad, but with sleazy lyrics about a stripper. Comedy gold!
8. Ginger Pusses Out - just another intro track
9. Metal Shop - Heavy Accept-style metal anthem about themselves. Very funny! "Hot chicks dig us, heavy metal rules the night!" Haha!

Each of those 5 songs really are fantastic tracks! They sound like A-grade hair mteal straight from the '80s, could've all been hits! Very catchy & great musicianship - sounds like Desmond Child co-wrote it and Beau Hill produced it or something haha! And the comedy is all right on the money. Great stuff!

Lyric examples haha...

From "Big Boobs":

I see your boobies and I wanna screw
Lookin' at you makes my balls turn blue
I wanna see you in a little bikini
Wrappin' your boobs around my fat weenie!

BIG BOOBS! Holy shit!
BIG BOOBS! Take a look at those tits!
BIG BOOBS! They're really really big!
BIG BOOBS! Boobies boobies boobies!

From "Hell's On Fire":

It's so fucking hot in here, but the devil doesn't care
The front row will be dripping wet, but Satan won't even break a sweat
He's in the corner turning up the heat, burnin' my hands & burnin' my feet
A cool lemonade would hit the spot coz its really really reall really... REALLY HOOOT!

HELL'S ON FIRE! Burnin' your body right to the core!
HELL'S ON FIRE! You can fry an egg on the floor! I like it scrambled!

From "Fat Girl (Thar She Blows)" (This sounds alot like Here I Go Again in style haha):

I know you're hungry, I can see it in your eyes
Coz you're lookin' at me like I'm a side of fries
I wanna take your chubby ass back to my place
And squirt my favourite gravy all over your face

I wanna prove to you my feelings are for real
So I'm gonna buy you a million Happy Meals

Fat girl, She's everything I want and more
Fat girl, She can't fit through the door!
WOAH WOAH!
Fat girl, Snackin' on my cock again! Ouch don't bite!
Fat girl, I can't believe you're eating again
Fat girl, Where does your neck begin?!?

From "Stripper Girl" (haha and keep in mind this sung really sincerely like a BALLAD!):

Met you down at the 7th veil, first night that I got outta jail
Lips were red and your skin was pale, you were the one that I wanted to nail

I wanna love you till the end of time, I wanna love you in a sixty-nine
I wanna love you where the sun don't shine, Hey where'd you put that blow? *Sniff*
Take my cock into your backdoor, I wanna fuck you, you fuckin' whore
I wanna jab it in and out at a really fast pace till I squirt hot juice all over your face

STRIPPER GIRL, On my lap, hold my dick & give you a clap
STRIPPER GIRL, I need some cash, so get on stage and shake that ass
STRIPPER GIRL, Heaven sent, thanks again for payin' my rent

Sometimes you think that I'm a jerk when you catch me fucking your friends from work
I'll be there to catch you when you fall, just buy me a cell phone you can give me a call

(Haha all about how the rockres used strippers to pay their bills in the 80s in LA lol)

From "Metal Shop":

My hair is ready, my pants are tight!
Hot chicks dig us, heavy metal rules the night!

Heavy metal rules, everybody knows
If you don't like it, we'll come and break your nose!
Chicks up front, chicks backstage
Chicks all over, chicky chicky chick chicks rule!

No doctor can cure my disease, coz we're METAL SHOP! Satisfaction guaranteed!

There's a bit of a taste of the kinda lyrics on there. But the reason its so funny is because the songs sound so good and so much like real '80s metal hits, and the lyrics are sung so sincerely as if they were actually singing Here I Go Again or Every Rose Has Its Thorn with lots of feeling, or as if they were really belting out a big passionate metal anthem haha!

There's a band called ABSOLUTE STEEL with similar lyrics/attitude :D
Even the spoken words in the introduction of the album are funny as hell, the guy tells the story of Metal fighting MTV music and crap like that
Take a look at the songtitles ahah :

01. Intro: In The beginning
02. We Sentence You To Death (even if you're innocent)
03. Leatherbride
04. Smooth And Shaved
05. Crazy Horse
06. Too Good In Bed
07. Spead Your Legs
08. Naughty Nanny
09. The Bitch And The Beast
10. Love For Steel
11. Steelfront
12. Time To Be Heard

I've seen Metal Skool (formerly Metal Shop) many times throughout the years, but still not as often as I'd like to!! :D

They don't have an official website, but you can find recent albums of Metal Skool pictures and video clips at http://www.albertr.com/MetalSkool/ for this awesome band! :hotjump:

You'll also find the latest Metal Skool performance schedule (that I'm aware of) as well as a link to join a small unofficial Metal Skook mailing list. At least 1 Metal Skool band member is subscribed to the list :Spin:

Their album "Hole Patrol" is currently out-of-print, but well worth supporting when it becomes available :headbang:

In Hollywood, these guys have performed with audience members Steven Tyler, Paul Stanley, Michael Anthony and many, many others :worship:

Check them out if you get the chance!
