I don't really know what we're talking about haha but I know it's about metalcore. I think Heaven Shall Burn is a great metalcore band. <---just throwin that out there
The Devil Wears Prada is just generic IMO.
Them being christian has nothing to do with them not being good. I think their vocalist is not that good...tolerable but not really good.
I agree with the person that said people judge a genre of music on their commercial successes. I did it too with metalcore, when I was first into metal and didn't know anything about genres and bands, the bands that were shown to me were The devil wears prada, BFMV, atreyu, underoath, avenged sevenfold...etc. I had other metal bands shown to me and I like it much better. I judged metalcore as a sucky genre cause of the bands that were shown to me when I was new to metal, but when you actually look there are some great bands.

Yeah, I don't really mind religious lyrics at all, in either direction of general religion. All lyrics can have artistic merit and convey something.
