If selling out means they sell millions of records and sell out every show I believe that is a great thing.

Well actually, selling out means changing your attitude by making music for commercial gains, as opposed to for personal reasons. It means forsaking your principles for money, like prostitution. It's a big "fuck you" to the idea of believing in your art and not caring what people think.

Sales numbers mean shit. Attitude is everything. That's why Judas Priest and Iron Maiden are still among the greatest bands in the world.

A lot of people see Metallica as a one song band - Enter Sandman - but what's everyone's thoughts on them?

if they were a one song band... that one song definitely wouldn't be Enter Sandman

they were a 4 album band... KEA through AJFA obviously

the Black Album was an obvious statement that they weren't into pushing their creativity or songwriting anymore, and instead pulled in a big time producer, dumbed down their songs, made them shorter and more commercial friendly, yadda yadda, no more music for music's sake, no more integrity... *flips lightswitch off* band over

I wasn't saying I only like Enter Sandman, just some stupid ppl I know only like it. Very gay.

I haven't listened to them for a few years myself, those 4 albums are awesome though.
