So, I have to choose between Deadwing and Ghost Reveries...

Argh, difficult. Up until about 3 days ago, I'd have picked Deadwing without hesitating. Now, I'm not sure.... they're both in my top 3 of last year (along with SYL).

Ha, ha, I agree on all points...!

But my definition would be that PT is just Progressive... since they are so much at the same time (metal sometimes, soft rock sometimes... and so on)

PS I just ordered three PT cd's the other day (- they are something you can listen to the same day as Opeth... so to speak!)
