Mic shootout: Toms

Hi there! This is my second post here and it is a small mic shootout, not meant to be scientific at all, just for fun.

6 mics: shure sm57, audix D2, audix D4, røde NT2-A, beyerdynamic m201, electrovoice N/D868.

I found I liked the Audix D2 for RT and D4 for FT. Nothing else really did much for me.

Thanks! hmm yeah i agree with ben johnson, we need to get some sennheisers in here as well. I really want to hear a comparison between the e604 and the 421

I'm with Skyweaver on this one, though SM57 made a close second for the floor, as the D2 was only slightly more full and better.

Or if someone is willing to do a new shootout that'd be great, too. I'm particularly interested in these mics: D2, SM57, I5 and probably D4, 421, e604.

Yeah a shootout between the D2, D4, 421, e604 and SM57 would be absolutely AWESOME...
