Michael Jackson cover - Liberian Girl

Did this over the last two days... Putting my new acoustic to good use. Only cost 70 quid too.

This is only the second song I've recorded with acoustic... Apparently I can play acoustic pretty well, I had no idea. Though I'm not defending myself here but I can hardly talk at the moment from a throat infection so the vocals at the end of the song aren't as strong as I would have them be normally but it's only for fun.

Would love your thoughts on my take of this song & my brooo's mix too

Hey, cheers. I'm kinda happy with the harmony levels but if it were somebody elses cover I'd most likely have them turn the harmonies down - with it being my first time doing harmonies like that I just wanted them to be clear, lol. But most likely they could probably go down a little bit but I wouldn't say they're that loud either...

Cheers man. I'm just messing around recording songs that don't take a lot of effort vocally... I have a couple of my Black Magic songs waiting for vocals to be put down but I don't have the strength to record them at the moment & have a gig coming up so can't really chance it... I'm dying to get back to my own stuff though. But this is keeping my satisfied for the moment

yeah it's just a IMO. I think some of the lower harmonies has some notes that pushes the song in the wrong direction. I think I remember(aka years ago) it being more of those higher/falsettoish harmonies in the original.
It's still a great cover nonetheless, I'd love to be able to sing like that.

beautiful cover man!!!
at some parts it sounded like there was too much going on in rhythmical section like guitars and drums wouldn't sit well together but besides that it was AWESOME.
