Hello, I've got a soundcard without MIDI interface and thinking of getting a Alesis trigger i/o for my trig mics when micing drums.
The thing is, that the trigger i/o has got USB interface too, but I will need rather long cables(approx 30 feet), will this work with USB or will it be too long cables?
In another case, I could install a separate MIDI interface, would this simple one do the job? http://www.thomann.de/se/esi_midi_mate.htm
